Born and raised in London to a multilingual family, I did all my schooling in the British system. I recently graduated from Cambridge, where I specialised in religious belief and practice in medieval and early modern Europe.
When I'm not working, I can usually be found distracting a friend from their work in a cafe around London or Cambridge, kickboxing, or engrossed in my latest craft passion. I love pottery, sewing, and everything in between. I'm also interested in gardening, but all my plants are alive despite rather than because of my best efforts.
I have diverse experience teaching, having worked in a classroom, taught private lessons and run group sessions for KS2 to Oxbridge applicants, but specialise in humanities university application preparation and GCSE/A Level support. I also offer extracurricular support for those looking to make their school and university applications stand out, having supported students in public speaking competitions and Model United Nations conferences.
I also mentor students looking to build sustainable and longer-term work strategies, guiding students facing public or entrance exams and unsure how to revise, manage their time or work productively. These have proven useful for neurotypical and neurodivergent students alike, improving academic results in the short term and building confidence for students to independently take on more ambitious challenges in the long term.
I love the constant discovery involved in teaching, getting to know new students and learning how best to help them. Despite three years of experience, my students continue to surprise and delight me.
I support applications to British schools and universities, focusing on English and History, and teach these to A Level and GCSE students. I also offer more widely applicable tutoring for students struggling to manage their time and energy efficiently.
Sibylle is a really dedicated tutor and is super helpful in all aspects of interview prep, from style, format to content preparation. Benefitted massively despite reaching out at a short notice !
