I am a qualified medical doctor who has been working throughout the pandemic and is looking to explore some other interests - one of these being tutoring! I did lots of work as a tutor from early years up to undergraduate level during my medical degree and found it both enjoyable and rewarding. I mostly deliver sessions in maths and science but also have experience in 11+ and 13+ exams and university applications. I feel that my lessons are fun and engaging and I prefer teaching core principles and fundamentals which students can then apply rather than rote learning. I am well travelled so have lots of interesting stories to share, play tennis to a high level and also enjoy yoga, climbing, playing the piano and cycling.
PRIVATE TUITION • FROM 2015
I have delivered over 400 hours of lessons, ranging from Key stage 3 to undergraduate level. My GCSE and A level students have all been ecstatic with their marks. I have also tutored specifically for school entrance exams with students going on to attend top London institutions such as UCS and Harrow.
MEDICINE ENTRANCE COACHING • FROM 2015
As a medical student I have led mock interviews giving individual feedback to over 30 international students, help writing personal statements and advice on getting the best work experience placements. My most recent student has just gained a place on a highly competitive graduate entry medicine course.
CLINICAL SKILLS TUTOR• FROM 2015
I was selected by the university to teach other students clinical skills. This involves delivering sessions to a group of 6 students following the university approved teaching strategy.
ST GEORGE’S UNIVERSITY STUDENT AMBASSADOR FROM 2015
My role has involved delivering clinical skills sessions to prospective medical students, helping with open days and giving talks at higher education conferences. I have worked closely with the widening participation team to help with several outreach programmes they run to encourage students from disadvantaged backgrounds to apply for medicine and other healthcare specialities
