About Me
Hi there! I'm Emily and I have over 8 years experience as a private teacher and tutor! I specialise in one-to-one tailored learning, assessing how best I can support each student on an individual basis. I also have experience in working with neurodivergent students, helping them to unlock their potential beyond a restrictive classroom setting. All my GCSE and ALevel students have achieved a B Grade or above – providing a track record of success for any future students.
Tutor Experience
I've been teaching and tutoring for over 8 years, with experience with beginner learners all the way through to university level. I’m a Professional Soprano and Singing Teacher as well as a Music GCSE and A Level Tutor. On top of this, I also specialise in interview and audition preparation, for elite schools and university degrees.
As an Opera Singer I have worked for leading companies such as Welsh National Opera, Opera North, English National Opera and the Glyndebourne Festival.
As a vocal teacher and piano teacher; I have had success with taking students through both the ABRSM and Trinity Laban exam syllabuses, as well as supporting those who wish to enter talent competitions (local or national) or pursue music professionally. I pride myself on not only being a singing/piano teacher, but also a performance coach – helping each student truly find their authentic voice.
As a GCSE and ALevel Tutor, I work for UKSC as well as privately to support students towards the strongest grade they can get. I specialise in one-to-one tailored learning, assessing how best I can support each student on an individual basis. I also have experience in working with neurodivergent students, helping them to unlock their potential beyond a restrictive classroom setting. All my GCSE and ALevel students have achieved a B Grade or above – providing a track record of success for any future students.
On top of this, I have supported many students with the process of applying for Conservatoire, Oxbridge or specialist music degrees – I have a huge passion for supporting students on this journey. My skills include application support, interview technique, audition preparation and individual coaching support.
I am Enhance DBS certified and hold degrees from the Royal College of Music and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
