About Me
Hi, I'm Aidan — a qualified UK Physics teacher with over 10 years of experience helping students succeed in GCSE and A-level Science. I originally trained as a mechanical engineer (MEng, Heriot-Watt) before completing my PGDE through the Teach First programme. My passion for education led me to leadership roles in London schools, a Master’s in Educational Leadership from UCL, and work as an AQA Physics examiner. As Head of Physics in central London, I led a department whose student progress placed us in the top 1% nationally.
I’ve taught in high-performing schools in the UK and abroad, and I specialise in breaking down tricky Physics concepts into clear, manageable steps. I'm a qualified UK physics teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching GCSE and A-level science, both in schools and through private tutoring. I’ve successfully tutored dozens of students across all three sciences at GCSE and led sought-after A-level physics tutorials, both online and in person. My lessons are tailored, engaging, and rooted in evidence-based teaching practices. As a head of physics in London, I redesigned the A-level curriculum and helped the department achieve progress scores in the top 1% nationally. Over the years, I've developed real expertise as teacher, helping students to build confidence, improve exam technique, and reach top grades. Most recently, I’ve continued to tutor alongside my role at a British international school in Madrid and have examined for AQA, giving me unique insight into what examiners look for.
