I am a keen historian, with very broad and global research interests, and a love for teaching and spreading knowledge.

I'm very interested in writing, as I mentioned before I run a student magazine, and I also write fiction. My particular research interest is primarily in Japan and China, so I spend a lot of time doing research into these areas (particularly in my role as Research Assistant). Though I am still, very much, a beginner, I've been trying to learn some Chinese/Japanese, and endeavour to travel to East Asia as much as possible. I also enjoy doing web design/game design, and in my free time I sometimes work on developing Apps.
I have held a number of other tutoring roles: I worked as an Online Tutor for A-Level History for students at the British School of Cordoba, I worked as an Undergraduate Tutor at the University of Leeds, for a first-year History module, and I took part in the TeamUp programme, tutoring GCSE English Literature at Cockburn School in Leeds.
I am very hard working, an am among the top students in my year, with an average mark of 79/90 - First. I have undertaken a number of Research Assistant positions, working with Dr. Adam Cathcart on his research into Chinese War Crimes Trials; with Dr. Kevin Linch for his prosopographical work into the lives of British Army Officers at the Battle of Waterloo.
I am deeply interested in History, Philosophy, Politics, Literature and Economics, I currently run a non-profit magazine aimed at engaging a broader audience in academic discussion and analysis of these topics (https://issuu.com/veramagazine) . Next year I will be studying an Economic History MA at the London School of Economics (LSE).
