Hello! I have twenty-years plus experience as an academic lecturer and tutor across undergraduate, master and doctoral levels in architectural education and know well the ups and downs of university study!
I have experience supervising PhD candidates to successful completion in traditional and creative-practice based PhDs. I have extensive experience supervising Undergraduate and Master level dissertations in Architectural History and Theory and Design, and supporting students in essay writing at all levels of university education.
I have a very good track record of successful dissertation submissions and a lot of experience supervising students through complex and challenging times of life! I'm very confident at supporting students to find the right way to approach a project - both written and design - and to do so in a fun, happy and healthy manner!
I'm approachable, have experience working in the online environment, am adaptable to new areas of exploration and focused on helping you find what's right in your work! It's what makes me tick - both helping students complete a project/piece of written work and enjoying the process along the way!

Hi! I'm Thomas Edward (though go by Sunatha now). I have a PhD in Architectural History and Theory, and have taught for over twenty years in different universities. I'm also an ordained Buddhist, and have left academia to pursue this avenue in life! Supporting and helping people is what makes me tick and I have a lots of knowledge of the university world.
I was Senior Tutor in my last role, helping students through difficult times to find a happy way to finish their studies, and am very used to working in challenging situations and helping people thrive! It's what I'm good at and am now doing in others areas of life.
I have lots of knowledge about architecture, its history and the theories around it. I also have lots of knowledge about the world, and increasingly about how we can make happy situations and happy people!
My approach to teaching and learning has always been very student focused - helping you find what's the right thing to do, to write/design and to ultimately think. I believe that we all know what it is we need to do, and a really good tutor is able to help you find out what it is you should be doing, and enabling you to do it.
I've lots of experience doing this with very different students across writing and design, at all levels of university education. I've had lots of successful students at university, but most importantly I've been able to help them find what's really meaningful for them in life and in their academic work.
I love helping people find a positive expression of who they are through their work, and know that this isn't seperate from who you are as a person! I like getting to know my students and really working out how to best help in the specific situation you're in.
