I graduated from Cambridge in 2022, where I received a BAhons in Human, Social and Political Sciences. I am currently studying for my Masters degree at the Royal College of Art in Writing. I also successfully applied to other top universities, such as UAL, where I was offered a scholarship to study Journalism.
During my time at university I worked as a Zero Gravity mentor, helping students from underrepresented groups with their applications to top universities. I also worked in the outreach and access office, widening participation to Russel Group universities.
In terms of my A levels, I achieved full UMS in all of my A level Psychology exams and an A+, A in Sociology and English Literature respectively. I delivered award winning research at Cardiff University, based on the transition from secondary school to college (2019). I also received a fully funded place on Bath University's Social Sciences Course (2018), which enabled me to have access to their excellent research facilities, workshops and lectures from experts in the field.
I also have extensive creative writing experience, successfully submitting my writing, to over 10 magazines I was one of the 2023 winners of The Creative Future Writer's Award, and have been longlisted for the Heroica Poetry Prize 2024 and the Passion Fruit Review's 'Being in Bodies' competition. I was recently commissioned by Art on The Underground to write a poetry piece.
Most importantly I love tutoring and this is my full time job! I am really passionate about making education accessible for all, and put a lot of effort into my lessons to ensure this.
I have over 100 hours of tutoring experience, teaching pupils of varying abilities and levels work closely alongside my students to make my lessons applicable, accessible and expertly designed.
I am to instil confidence in my students, and empower them with constructive feedback, practice tests, discussion based learning and interactive lessons.
During my own time at Cambridge, I worked in the access and outreach department, so have insider knowledge of the application process.
I also have extensive experience working with students who have additional learning needs.
