About Me
I’m a qualified teacher (QTS) with several years of classroom and tutoring experience, specialising in Science and helping students build both confidence and academic excellence. With a personal academic background that includes A* grades in Triple Science, I bring a strong subject knowledge base and a passion for making complex topics understandable and engaging. My teaching approach is grounded in professionalism, patience, and adaptability – every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to suit individual learning styles, strengths, and goals.
I strongly believe in the power of real-world examples and exam-focused practice to make learning meaningful and exam-ready. Every lesson I teach includes relevant context, past paper questions, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions – because I never say no to curiosity, and I know that the best progress comes from open, interactive learning.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting a wide range of students, including those aiming for top grades and those working to build foundational understanding. One of my proudest moments as a teacher was when my class achieved the best average grades in the region for a major UK exam board – a testament to what personalised, consistent, and well-structured teaching can accomplish.

Tutor Experience
Alongside my classroom teaching, I have extensive experience as a private tutor, working one-on-one with students across a range of abilities and backgrounds. My tutoring sessions are fully personalised, designed to meet each student’s unique needs, learning style, and academic goals. I specialise in Science – particularly GCSE and A-Level – and have helped students make significant progress, often moving up multiple grade boundaries within a term. My approach combines clear explanations, real-life examples, targeted exam practice, and consistent feedback. Many of my tutees have achieved or exceeded their target grades, and I take pride in creating a supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions and actively engage with their learning.
