2019-2021: Mathematics and Statistics (A-level students at sixth form college Colchester; MA Economics student in Essex)

My teaching philosophy centers around three main principles: (i) Thorough course preparation. (ii) Active collaborative learning. (iii) Complementing and balancing technical formality with real world examples.

During my experience as a lecturer, I have always designed the modules thoroughly. This includes clearly setting out the learning outcomes of the course, and providing diligently prepared notes, while making sure to maintain a balance between complex and technical information, and empirical facts. take time to assess the level of comfort and understanding of the students and improvise accordingly. Additionally, I always motivate the topic of the lecture in the beginning and discuss major takeaways from each of those topics to conclude.
