For over 10 years now I have worked with a diverse range of students, engendering a passion for learning as well as producing tangible results. I employ a flexible and dynamic approach crafted from an understanding that we are each upon a unique learning pathway according to our particular styles, aspirations, aptitudes and needs.
"The learning exercises were always set around my interest areas, making tuition both fun and effective. Following my sessions with Andrew, I have developed a more concise way of communicating. My writing now has more flow, which helps me say what I need to say." - Neil , Newtownabbey

Really useful tutorial to help get me started with an essay plan.
A good intro lesson for our 11 yr old son. Andrew made a great effort to connect with him at the start of the lesson by chatting about our son's life and his interests. He was positive and encouraging throughout the lesson.
Excellent! I found it really useful. Thank you!
Andrew took the time to colour-code his feedback which is always helpful. He also sent me files with templates on how to structure my essay and suggestions about which conjunctions I can use to increase the variety of vocabulary in my essay. I appreciated how his comments were never forceful but only ever a suggestion and it made me feel eager to edit my essay rather than judged for making mistakes. I strongly recommend his offline classes as well as his online classes!
Thank you for the additional resources. I found the document about essay structure especially helpful and your comments are, as always, very insightful.
Really helpful feedback on how to enhance clarity and writing in my essay.
A beneficial and constructive first session!
Very enjoyable - Beginning to guide and place a foundation to approaching meaning and representation.
"Andrew has been working with my fourteen year old son for the last few months mainly focusing on study skills and organisational skills. During this time my son has improved tremendously at school, he is scoring much higher in all his class tests and his confidence has grown significantly. Andrew is very patient and calm in his approach to tutoring and my son really enjoys working with him." - Dr Jeanette Robinson, Queen's University Belfast

If you read Andrew's bio, you will see how much he values transferable study skills and how he wants you to get the most out of your sessions. Although we discussed academic things today from my English and Psychology class, he always pointed me back towards the importance of our mindset in tackling new challenges which may arise personally and academically. I enjoyed how balanced this session was and I look forward to our next meeting! - Talya
