I love exploring the great outdoors: hillwalking, camping, jogging, cycling and hiking! I'll try anything once. While indoors, I enjoy a good movie or a game on Virtual Reality. I also have a growing selection of houseplants that I take care of and enjoy watching them 'magically' grow. In life as in work, I am well-known for my own 'superpower'...
calmness.
"The learning exercises were always set around my interest areas, making tuition both fun and effective. Following my sessions with Andrew, I have developed a more concise way of communicating. My writing now has more flow, which helps me say what I need to say." - Neil , Newtownabbey

The lesson was exceptionally helpful and encouraging!
A very helpful lesson!
it was a really well planned and thought out lesson
i learnt a lot this lesson, the quantity and quality was really great. I learnt what i had to improve on and what i was good at
Worked very well technically, Andrew was very understanding and explained everything in detail so that I understood.
Very good explanations, very calm and created a nice environment.
Andrew offered me lots of feedback regarding my essay plan and gave me constructive feedback as to how I could improve my work. Thank you!
Good start
Really useful tutorial to help get me started with an essay plan.
A good intro lesson for our 11 yr old son. Andrew made a great effort to connect with him at the start of the lesson by chatting about our son's life and his interests. He was positive and encouraging throughout the lesson.
"Andrew took the time to colour-code his feedback which is always helpful. He also sent me files with templates on how to structure my essay and suggestions about which conjunctions I can use to increase the variety of vocabulary in my essay. I appreciated how his comments were never forceful but only ever a suggestion and it made me feel eager to edit my essay rather than judged for making mistakes. I strongly recommend his offline classes as well as his online classes!" - Talya
"Thanks again for all your help; you're clearly the reason for the bump up in marks as I've only ever achieved a 68 !! " L. G
"Andrew has been working with my fourteen year old son for the last few months mainly focusing on study skills and organisational skills. During this time my son has improved tremendously at school, he is scoring much higher in all his class tests and his confidence has grown significantly. Andrew is very patient and calm in his approach to tutoring and my son really enjoys working with him." - Dr Jeanette Robinson, Queen's University Belfast
Thank you so, so much for your feedback! I just got a response from my teacher saying that I got 100% in this assignment :) - Sofia (Philosophy student)
"Really helpful feedback on how to enhance clarity and writing in my essay." - Serena (Psychology student)
Andrew was really helpful and showed me how to structure my essay in a really kind and efficient way - Paolina
I have received written feedback from Andrew and I am really pleased with all the information that he added. It helps me to understand how to structure my essay better to answer the relevant questions and achieve my learning outcomes. THANK YOU SO MUCH - Julia
"Andrew was easy to work with, he was reliable, punctual and thorough. He was able to provide an in-depth revision of topics my daughter wanted to fine tune. Andrew gave extremely useful advice and tips. He always came well prepared and went over and above what was required. Overall we were very impressed!"
- Carolyn Hall
"I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for tutoring Philip this year; he adapted well with you as his new tutor and enjoyed your approach to teaching.
"I would have no hesitation in recommending Andrew as a tutor. I found him to be polite, courteous, reliable, and accommodating."
- Doreen
If you read Andrew's bio, you will see how much he values transferable study skills and how he wants you to get the most out of your sessions. Although we discussed academic things today from my English and Psychology class, he always pointed me back towards the importance of our mindset in tackling new challenges which may arise personally and academically. I enjoyed how balanced this session was and I look forward to our next meeting!
- Talya
"Fantastic! Andrew was very helpful in breaking down concepts and helping me understand certain texts." - Hibaaq
