About Me
I'm an interdisciplinary UCL Natural Sciences graduate with a passion for both Chemistry and Biology. My fascination with the intricate world of molecules and atoms, as well as the orchestration of life within them, has driven my academic journey.
Beyond the classroom, I explore music, nature, and literature, believing that the boundaries between subjects are more fluid than we think. While exams demand distinction, I've learned that approaching topics from different angles enhances comprehension. As a recent graduate, I relate to my students' experiences and inspire a deeper understanding of both subjects.
Tutor Experience
Since entering a top university in 2019, I have enjoyed tutoring as a means of championing tutees and transmitting my passion for science and expertise in the A-level and GCSE curriculum. I have tutored students from a wide range of backgrounds, besides private tuition, I have also volunteered to coach disadvantaged pupils. Providing personalised guidance to each student is one of my key principles in both academic and soft skills development.
I can help with Chemistry, Biology, Science/Maths/Physics at A-levels and (I)GCSE across various exam boards. (E.g. AQA, Edexcel, OCR, Cambridge IGCSE, etc.)
I have been using virtual study platforms and whiteboards extensively, both 1-to-1 and for small groups. These sessions are tailored for virtual delivery and make use of various online resources. I have also tutored students in their homes or in a school setting.
In my tailored sessions we work with the students to achieve their personal best and an effect outside and beyond the curriculum and exams. Fostering independent learning is instrumental, besides building solid foundations, filling in knowledge gaps and refining exam techniques. By shining a light on what's beyond the curriculum and relating concepts to real life, I bring the subjects closer to them.
