Hi, my name is Juliana and I currently finished 3 years of BSc Biomedical Sciences in University college london and completed MRes Bioengineering at Imperial College London with distinction and now studying PhD in imperial. I have 5+ years of teaching experience and even got featured in BBC news and telegraph for helping my brother and sister (12 years old and 9 years old) to achieve top grades in A levels and GCSEs. Due to this incident, i decided to help more home schooled/international students via NewGen tutor by helping them excel or catch up with study. I received 8A* and 3As for my GCSE and I graduated with A*A*AA for Maths, Chemistry, physics and biology for A level. Throughout my secondary school, I have been nominated several times as the top in the year for several subjects like Maths, Chemistry and Physics. I have also contributed in Maths and Biology Olympiad achieving silver for both.
Best success story after my tuition: 12 years old (my brother) got A*A*A* in A levels and 9 years old (sister) got 9s!: www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cr5nqmlgvlzo
Furthermore other students study GCSEs 1 to 3 years ahead of their grade level, have demonstrated remarkable progress. Meanwhile some previously struggling students sitting at 3 or D ultimately attaining grades of 6 and B at the end. This success underscores the effectiveness of tailored teaching methods, cultivating a learning environment where students thrive academically, regardless of their initial challenges or age.
My teaching style is very interactive and friendly. I tried to help students build their problem solving skills by themselves. I remain patient and supportive to boost their self-esteem. I am very organised so I can provide personalised resources or quizzes to further help the students reach their target. I try to customise my teaching style to the students learning style and pace. If the students want to get ready for mock/exam, I provide sessions going through easy to very hard questions together. If they are struggling in a particular topic then I also prepare sessions covering the contents to boost their understanding. I also can teach some of the useful techniques and tips to help you ace the exams! I also wrote model answers and resources for PMT Education for maths and sciences for various examboards (GCSE to A level). Hence, I am very well aware of the each examboard style and contents.
