I have over 6 years of experience in teaching Maths. I have tutored over 80 students and taught 4000+ hours of online lessons with various tuition agencies. Most of the students I have taught have been year 7 - 9, GCSE, A level and Further Maths A level students. I am familiar with the GCSE and A level syllabus for the following exam boards: Edexcel, AQA, OCR, OCR MEI and CIE. I have worked with students who are dyslexic or struggling with Maths and also high-achieving students.
Romin's last completed Pure Mathematics job with Jamie: 1-2 hrs/week - I am starting my final year at school in September, doing A-Level maths next year. I want to ensure I get at least a good B in Maths, and would like to aim for an A. In the mocks done over the last month I got an E, partly to do with the change over to the new system, and partly to do with underperformance in the nuts and bolts area of maths, according to my teacher. I got high GCSE grades, and my current predicted grades are disappointing. Over the summer I would like to keep up my work on maths, ensure I am strong in all the basics, and confident in the new stuff we have done this year.
Romin's last review in Pure Mathematics from Jamie: Very helpful, and provided lots of revision resources

Laurence's last completed Pure Mathematics job with Rianne: 1-2 hrs/week - I am struggling with Circle Theorems and would like to start as soon as possible. The course moves along pretty quickly, which is also why I am struggling a little bit and would like some clarification on certain parts of a topic. I am taking my A levels next year during June (2020) and would like to get an A* in both Maths and Further Maths.
I have tutored A-level, Undergraduate and Masters Physics and Maths for three years for pupils aiming for levels from C-A* (and 1st Class Honours), as well as Oxbridge entrance exams and interview practice.

I’ve been working in universities and colleges for 15 years and have over 2 years experience of private teaching (1000+ hours). I’m an expert in linear algebra and elements of probability theory and have a range of experience teaching optimisation theory (including game theory), advanced calculus and complex analysis. I’ve delivered private lectures to A-level, IB maths students and undergraduates from prestigious UK universities. I teach students to learn the crucial concepts of maths more easily through concrete, clear examples. During my tutoring sessions I always reveal connections between different areas of mathematics, which appear highly non-obvious at first. This helps my students to obtain a deeper understanding of the curriculum. I always tailor sessions to the needs and requirements of my students and the main focus is on the practical application of the theorems.
I have successfully taught all subjects I am offering up to and including A Level. Experienced with AQA, OCR, Edexcel, and Eduqas. As a senior leader I have coached and mentored new and experienced teachers giving me a deep understanding of teaching methodologies. Skilled in differentiating learning, my student-centred approach ensures all students make progress. I am dedicated to developing the passion for lifelong learning in others.
I cover all levels of Mathematics from primary school all the way to SATs, GMAT and degree level . I focus particularly on A level and GCSE teaching all relevant modules including Stats, Core and Mechanics. I have a proven track record coaching students for AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards. I am always patient and encouraging and know how to get the best out my students. I enjoy making tricky concepts easy to understand by using everyday examples. There is no substitute for practice and I will set numerous problems to be completed before the next lesson. This is the only way to be sure topics are sinking in. I always emphasise full understanding of problems not just simply learning methods.
I provide intensive exam preparation and my pupils have frequently achieved top grades. My students are normally referred to me from other satisfied pupils and I tend to get very busy. However I am taking on new students at the moment and do have some availability.
I am a patient tutor, and I am able to simplify complex topics and dispel confusion.
I have tutoring and teaching experience with CIE iGCSE's in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths, as well as CIE A-level Physics.
I also have teaching experience with Edexcel Maths (C1, C2, C3, and C4; aka C12 and C34)
I am also capable of tutoring A-level Mechanics .

I believe that a good tutor combines teaching and mentoring in a way that encourages students to use their own thinking and ability, set their own ‘agenda’, ask questions and then works with them to improve their self- confidence and ability in the subject.
I have degrees in Mathematics, Statistics and Teaching, and have taught Mathematics and Statistics at Advanced, Foundation and University levels to a variety of students.
I teach A-level Maths and Statistics at school and also tutor students studying for AS, A2, IB exams under various boards (OCR, CIE, Edexcel, AQA, MAT/STEP, GRE). Topics covered have been in Core Maths, Further Maths and Statistics.
I have taught courses in Maths and Statistics at Universities. Also I have tutored University level students on topics covering Probability and Statistics, Linear Algebra, Complex Analysis, Numerical Analysis, Fluid Dynamics, Quantitative Methods in Business, Actuarial Maths, Financial mathematics.
