I hold a PhD in Education and Labour Economics from Maastricht University (the Netherlands) and a Master’s degree in Globalisation, Policy, and Development from the University of Glasgow. I have over four years of experience teaching and mentoring undergraduate students and conducting research in economics and interdisciplinary social science. I have published research in peer-reviewed international journals.
In my own research, I have collected and analysed original data using surveys and interviews, and applied both quantitative and qualitative methods to produce clear and well-grounded insights. I work regularly with research design, literature reviews, data analysis, and academic writing, and I am keen to help students develop these skills in their assignments and dissertations.
My role is to support you in shaping a strong research project of your own. I can help with topic formulation, research questions, literature reviews, methodological choices, structure, and the interpretation of results, as well as improving clarity, coherence, and argumentation in academic writing.
Sessions are flexible and adapted to your level, pace, and specific needs, whether you are working on an assignment, preparing a dissertation proposal, or analysing data. My approach is question-driven and dialogical: through guided discussion and feedback, I aim to help you develop confidence in your reasoning and become more independent in your academic work.
I have over four years of experience teaching and mentoring undergraduate students at Maastricht University, where I worked as a Teaching Fellow in the course ‘Introduction to Academic Skills’ at University College Maastricht. In this role, I taught academic writing, research design, and argumentation, both in person and online. A central part of my work involved giving detailed, formative feedback on student writing and helping students develop the skills needed to approach academic tasks with clarity and confidence.
In parallel, I served as a co-supervisor and second reader for bachelor’s thesis projects over several years. I supported students throughout the full research process, including topic selection, literature review, research design, data analysis, and academic writing.
I also designed and taught an interdisciplinary course titled ‘Work in the 21st Century’ at the Bratislava International School of Liberal Arts. The course combined perspectives from economics and social science to examine digital labour, AI, and the future of work. I developed the course syllabus, teaching materials, and assessments, and led seminar-based sessions focused on discussion and critical analysis.
