Concise, clear explanations: You will end each tutorial confident in your understanding of the topic. You will be able to answer related exam questions, apply concepts in coursework assignments and see how different topics fit in the greater picture.
A tailored program: Whether you want to spend time revising a particular topic, practicing exam questions or discussing a particular topic more in depth, tutorials will be designed to suit your needs.
An hands on approach: At the end of each tutorial, I will send you further material to practice and revise the material covered. Ahead of the following tutorial, I will then correct your work and provide useful feedback. This can take the form of written questions, past papers, programming assignments, etc.

During the past 7 years, I have taught various Mechanical Engineering modules to undergraduate MechEng students at Imperial College London, before becoming a professional commercial aviation maintenance instructor in Greece. The syllabus of my latest role includes core engineering subjects such as mathematics, physics and aerodynamics and extends to workplace safety, human factors/social psychology, and legislation. During my time in this role, I have successfully mentored a motivated student who did not understand the concept of negative numbers and could barely write a technical essay to become one of the best students in my class. He was recently hired as a maintenance engineer by a major European airliner. I have also been doing private tutoring for the past two years, guiding an A levels student to succeed in the demanding TU DELFT Aerospace Engineering BSc programme. In addition to my European Aviation Safety Agency professional instructor qualification, I hold an Associate Fellowship of the UK Higher Education Academy.
I am happy to tutor undergraduate Mechanical Engineering students in any of the core modules including but not limited to calculus, physics, mechanics of materials, machine elements etc. Further to the core subject, I am an expert modeller and programmer. Specifically, I have been using MATLAB as a tool throughout my entire academic career, including my PhD and postdocs. I can employ MATLAB to tackle highly complex multi scale problems at a very high level (PhD). When it comes to programming, the discipline is of a lesser importance hence the models I have developed and used in MATLAB can be equally applied to engineering, humanities or finance.
Finally, I am also a strong academic writer and I can tutor students into properly shaping academic text and assisting them with organising their research.
