I have over 4 years of experience in tutoring the sciences across a range of exam boards and levels, and am focused on ensuring each of my students understands how they will best reach their goals.
I am passionate about the subjects that I tutor, and am able to deliver them in innovative and engaging ways. My aim is to build up the confidence of my students in any given subject, and to help each individual to realise their potential.

Biology job with Georgina:
1-2 hrs/week - HI, I am looking for a Biology tutor to help my daughter with her A level this summer. She had an introductory session with Nicky at Christmas time but we couldn't find a time that suited over the holidays so we wondered if Nicky had any availability now either on weekends or on weekday evenings (my daughter has a weekly exeat so can do an afternoon once a week as well).
If anyone else is available, we would love to try an introductory session with them please. Particular areas required are data.
Eleanor's last review in A Level Biology from Evie : continued
I have been tutoring and teaching for over 14 years, and over half of that has been spent in the position of Head of Science or assistant principal. I believe that I am easy to be around and students feel comfortable when working with me and are confident that they can ask any question, no matter how silly they may perceive it to be. I always try to think of relevant and engaging ways to tackle a topic to enable all abilities to understand.
Having left teaching in September 2018 to spend more time with my baby daughter, I've set up my own business that designs lesson resources for other teachers. This not only means that I have access to hundreds of resources that I share during lessons to back up the learning but also means that I'm aware of the intricacies and key details of all of the specifications, including the International ones

PGCE Biology, BSc Hons 2:1 Microbiology, 20 years' teaching experience including the last 7 years tutoring A-level Biology to around 350 tutees as individuals or groups. Excellent results with all tutees improving beyond their target grade. Many successful potential Medics, Vets, Dentists and Biology students have gained A* in Biology A-level and managed to secure a place at their first choice University following weekly tuition. On-line tuition only. I am a very approachable, friendly tutor with a wealth of knowledge regarding examination technique. I have the ability to simplify all theory ensuring the tutees build on their basic knowledge and then secure full understanding. I endeavour to ensure all theory is grounded before applying the knowledge to examination style questions. I also hold an enhanced DBS certificate.

Nicky's last review in A Level Biology from Sarah: Really good in helping me remember specific terminology for exam questions in topics I find more difficult.
For the past ten years, I have provided private tuition to students of a variety of ages and abilities. This has ranged from primary Maths to A Level Biology. I have helped students to prepare for exams with a number of examboards including Edexcel, AQA, WJEC and OCR.
I have been working for the past seven years as a teacher in a private girls’ school teaching Biology to A Level, Chemistry to GCSE and some KS3 Maths. I have developed an expert knowledge of Edexcel IGCSE Biology and Chemistry, as well as Edexcel AS and A Level Biology A. I am extremely passionate about my job and get a real thrill from seeing my students make progress.
Both times I have taught a top division at GCSE, they have all achieved Grade A*s. The Biology department has excellent value-added at A Level.

Occasional - I am looking for a tutor for my son Ollie, who is in lower 6th approaching his mocks in about 6 weeks. He needs some emergency tutoring to haul is marks up in A level Biology OCR.
I did my professional teaching course last year but had to give up teaching after qualifying for a great PhD opportunity. My favourite part of teaching was spending time with small groups and helping them realise they could do things they thought they couldn't.
I predominately taught GCSE and A-level classes In all three of the sciences. I also had to teach quite a lot on maths within the Physics A-level as well as helping out in GCSE maths classes. I really enjoyed teaching the sciences to people who were struggling as it would give rise to the "OH I get it now!" moment that most teachers crave.
Before teaching I studied at the University of Nottingham where I gained my masters in Biochemistry and Genetics. During this course I was lucky enough to study a large variety of topics as well as take part in research projects at the university which gave rise to further works. I thoroughly enjoyed my degree as well as my research which is why I am now studying for my PhD.
Morgan's last completed A Level Biology job with Maria: 1-2 hrs/week - I am resitting my A levels (Maths Chem and Bio) of which I recieved 3 Bs with. I'm wanting to push them up to As or A*s hopefully. For Biology my exam board is aqa. I really struggle with answering application questions, interpretating using graph data to answer questions and would really like someone to aid me and help me practice my exam technique.
My approach to tutoring is get the student interested in the subject they are studying, as learning about something you're interested in makes all the content more accessible.
All the content taught in the lesson will be from your school's exam board. The lessons will be based on the content you need for your exams, as well as developing strategies and skills to answer exam questions.
I will be able to provide all material for the tutoring sessions.

Blake's last review in A Level Biology from Luca: Fantastic , Luca felt motivated and at ease straight away.
I am a science and maths tutor and retired and part-time lecturer in astronomy at the University of Cambridge. I teach all sciences and maths at GCSE and A-level physics and biology. I also coach in Oxbridge entrance in the sciences. My time at the University of Cambridge has been very useful at giving me insight into the admissions process.
Neil's last completed A Level Biology job with Elena: 1-2 hrs/week - I am studying A level Biology AQA board. I have my A1 mock exams on May 7th and would like some help with question technique and the Maths questions on the paper leading up to the exam. After that I would like weekly lessons. I am currently scoring C grade but would like to improve this to at least a B. I feel it is better to iron out any problems now rather than leave it into my second year of study.
With almost 2 years' tutoring experience, I am confident in being able to deliver engaging and informative lessons for pupils of all ages.
I am experienced in tutoring biology, chemistry and maths to varying levels (GCSE, A-Level, IB), and across many exam boards and specifications, including OCR, Edexcel, AQA and more. My greatest strength lies in biology, where I am able to deliver tuition to undergraduate level, as well as provide support with dissertations.
I also have experience in preparing students for university entrance examinations, such as the UKCAT.
My teaching style will vary according to students' needs and I make my lessons as interactive as possible to ensure students remains engaged. I believe that confidence is half the battle won so I aim to encourage my students and empower them to take back control of their studies.

1-2 hrs/week - I am struggling with A2 content and exam practice as im studying from home and don't have enough resources
I have experience of tutoring from both perspectives - as a student and as a tutor. I know what makes a good tutor different from a bad tutor, and I know that each student is an individual with different needs to be catered for. As well as being able to pinpoint specific areas which can be developed, I am also skilled at carrying out the best plan of action to achieve student development. In over 5 years, I have tutored a number of students in a range of subjects including Maths, English, Sciences and Physical Education, mostly at GCSE Level but also at A-Level (or equivalent). I've also helped a number of students with their applications to university. As previously mentioned, I firmly believe tutoring is about making learning simple, interesting and fun and I'm really keen to make sure education is always enjoyable - that way, I hope to help others fulfil their maximum potential and make tutoring as rewarding as possible for everyone involved.
