Gareth $50-60/hr

Anatomical Sciences - Leeds University

I have been tutoring and teaching for over 14 years, and over half of that has been spent in the position of Head of Science or assistant principal. I believe that I am easy to be around and students feel comfortable when working with me and are confident that they can ask any question, no matter how silly they may perceive it to be. I always try to think of relevant and engaging ways to tackle a topic to enable all abilities to understand.
Having left teaching in September 2018 to spend more time with my baby daughter, I've set up my own business that designs lesson resources for other teachers. This not only means that I have access to hundreds of resources that I share during lessons to back up the learning but also means that I'm aware of the intricacies and key details of all of the specifications, including the International ones

Gareth's last completed A Level Biology job with Andrew: 1-2 hrs/week - I am looking for a tutor for my daughter to help with Cambridge international A level biology. We will be overseas for 4 months and need a tutor who can tutor online. My daughter has completed most of the course, but needs consolidation and help with exam preparation.

Gareth's last review in A Level Biology from Amelia: Very useful!!

Anna $50-60/hr

For the past eleven years, I have provided private tuition to students of a variety of ages and abilities. This has ranged from primary Maths to A Level Biology. I have helped students to prepare for exams with a number of examboards including Edexcel, AQA, WJEC and OCR.

For eight years, I have worked as a teacher in a private girls’ school teaching Biology to A Level, Chemistry to GCSE and some KS3 Maths. I have developed an expert knowledge of Edexcel IGCSE Biology, as well as Edexcel AS and A Level Biology A. I am extremely passionate about my job and get a real thrill from seeing my students make progress.

Last year, I also worked as an Assessment Specialist, marking Biology IGCSE papers for Cambridge Assessment. This will help me to prepare students even more thoroughly for their exams.

Morgan $50-60/hr

PGCE Secondary science,Biochemistry and genetics - University of Nottingham

I did my professional teaching course last year but had to give up teaching after qualifying for a great PhD opportunity. My favourite part of teaching was spending time with small groups and helping them realise they could do things they thought they couldn't.

I predominately taught GCSE and A-level classes In all three of the sciences. I also had to teach quite a lot on maths within the Physics A-level as well as helping out in GCSE maths classes. I really enjoyed teaching the sciences to people who were struggling as it would give rise to the "OH I get it now!" moment that most teachers crave.

Before teaching I studied at the University of Nottingham where I gained my masters in Biochemistry and Genetics. During this course I was lucky enough to study a large variety of topics as well as take part in research projects at the university which gave rise to further works. I thoroughly enjoyed my degree as well as my research which is why I am now studying for my PhD.

Morgan's last completed A Level Biology job with Phoebe: 1-2 hrs/week - Im looking for a tutor that can regularly help me with biology topics I am not able to fully understand and how to use my knowledge in exam like conditions/help improve exam techniques.

RUCHI $52/hr

M.Sc. - Indraprastha university , India

I find myself as a dedicated teacher who is able to motivate and encourage students to move forward in their studies. I have been tutoring students not only face to face but also through online platform for the last 15 years. There has been never a single child whom I couldn’t push further to score higher than their predicted grades. My teaching strategies are quite focused on individual requirements, as no two students are exactly same. Being an external examiner for years as well as having the teaching experience for more than 15 years has allowed me to apply specific exam techniques to help the students to understand the science concepts and how to crack the exam questions in various boards. I have worked in various countries and taught students from countries like India, Malaysia, Singapore and Dubai. Now, I am quite confident that with my experience and effective teaching strategies, I would be able to guide and help many more in UK as well.

RUCHI's last completed A Level Biology job with Martha: Intensive - I'm looking for a tutor who is dedicated in me achieving my goal to get a distinction, the topic area is mainly reproduction
