Shahid $91/hr

MSc - Manchester

I estimate I have at least 6000 hours of experience, having been a tutor since 2011. I initially started teaching Maths and Physics to Engineering students at University and I gradually expanded into secondary school level tuition. I have worked full time as a tutor since 2012 and during that time I have taught Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Engineering.

I have taught A Levels, IGCSE/GCSE, IB, Pre-U, AP and I have covered nearly every exam board including Edexcel, OCR, AQA, WJEC. All of my students are seeking to get into top Univeristies.
What makes me a good tutor is my ability to break down a subject and cover it in a particular order so that a student who might not have a good understanding can understand how to progress through the topics. It doesn't hurt that I have a sense of humour and make my lessons actually fun and enjoyable.

Natural Sciences - University of Cambridge

After completing a Masters in Astrophysics and BA in Natural Sciences at Cambridge University (grade 2.1), I received my teaching qualification (PGCE) in Science from Oxford University. I have been teaching Physics and Science in a secondary school for three years. Every student I have taught A level to has met or exceeded their target grade, (most received either an A* or an A).

I have extensive experience of all topics and know what examiners of GCSE and A level are looking for. I will provide exam questions and ensure that all areas of the relevant specification are covered in enough detail. I will focus on helping you to understand the subject deeply and know how to apply your knowledge in exam questions. With these tools your confidence and enjoyment of Physics / Science will definitely increase!

Anitha $40-50/hr

MS in Physics - University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA

Tutored for more than 10 years. Tutored more than 1000 students, helped them to achieve A* in GCSE as well as A-level. Was an IBMYP and IBDP Physics Teacher at an international school. I emphasize on conceptual understanding which is crucial in mastering Physics.

Anitha's last completed A Level Physics job with Tom:

1-2 hrs/week - I am looking for extra A level Physics tuition for my son who is 17 - just going into U6th. He got a 6 inPhysics GCSE vs. 9 prediction.(Got 9 in Maths) He seems to underperform in exams. He understands the topics but cannot understand/answer the questions. He is dyslexic and gets extra time. This definitely impacts his attainment ( his school generally ignore his dyselxia as he appears smart and performs well enough) He recently got a C in his mock vs. A prediction. We are looking for someone to pull apart his knowledge and and work on exam technique so he is happy and confident with his performance.

Anitha's last review in A Level Physics from Kesava:

free trial session Fantastic teacher. Identified areas for my improvement quickly and gave a boost to understanding in these areas

Steve's last completed A Level Physics job with Sylvia:

1-2 hrs/week - I am a second year college student so I have gone through the specification already. I wasn't able to attend a lot of lessons because of an ongoing health condition. I would very much like your help in filling in the gaps of my knowlege to study preemptively for the autumn exam sittings.

Steve $90-100/hr

Masters degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering - University of Surrey

Having taught Physics for nearly 20 years as Head of Physics, Head of Science and Assistant Principal, I now tutor full-time online. I can help you to understand and enjoy physics, and then reach the success you are looking for in exams. I have successfully taught thousands of students in the classroom and thousands of hours online.

Students of all abilities, from the very best, to those who find physics challenging, perhaps even overwhelming, have reached grades they thought were beyond their reach with my tutoring.

I can steer you through your physics course, making sure that you progress with the understanding you need. You'll grasp the concepts, enjoy the progress and reach your very best in exams.

Online tutoring provides a powerful learning experience as I have access to all the resources that I need to share (diagrams, past questions etc.) and I always provide follow up consolidation work. During the tutorial we'll pack in explanations and examples so that you grasp the concepts firmly and then move on to expressing the new learning effectively in past exam questions with guided support. I'm happy to steer us through the learning needed for your course, or for you to identify the areas you'd like to focus on then I can take a lead. Perhaps it works well to keep pace with the learning at school or maybe there are areas which you haven't grasped well that need reviewing. Together we'll rapidly work through the material to identify the parts which need work then we'll focus on these to ensure that they are mastered. You'll gain a thorough understanding, and cover lots of practice questions to ensure that you are ready to achieve your very best when it comes to exams day.
