Mark has helped me massively with Essential Neuroscience. I had no background knowledge whatsoever but after the sessions I had with Mark, I understood all the concepts of the book and I had much more knowledge outside the boundaries of the book as well. Mark is a caring and knowledgeable tutor who does everything he can to make his students understand the subject matter. He also excels at simplifying difficult concepts (such as G-protein coupled receptors) and explains everything thoroughly. Mark has a vast knowledge of new developments in neuroscience and interesting tidbits that make the book and the field of neuroscience much more fascinating and easy to understand, for example, he gives real-life examples of the conditions that are explained in the book. Mark is adept at answering questions and always makes sure to ask if I have any, although after his thorough and clear explanations that rarely happens :). I will without hesitations contact Mark later if I need additional help with neuroscience. Thank you, Mark, and good luck with everything!

Ellie’s unbridled enthusiasm, vast knowledge, and huge resources while tutoring our son to prepare for the HAT are invaluable. No matter what period of history (in our case mostly ancient) our son wants to discuss, she is well informed and suggests appropriate reading material. All this to prepare him for the entire Oxford admission process, including personal statement, the HAT, essay and finally interview. The lessons are stimulating historical discussions, and really fire up our son. It gives him a real taste of what to expect at university.
