I have been teaching Economics, Statistics and Econometrics since I was in college. After leaving college, I became a full-time professional tutor. I have worked with students who were complete beginners, as well as those who were facing challenges in mastering advanced topics.
I completely understand the initial struggle in decoding the concepts and formulas. I am adept in breaking down these concepts so that students can understand them. I use simple examples so that students can make sense of these topics. I don't encourage memorization and simply recalling the formulas, instead, I focus on the 'why' and 'how'.
I understand that every student has a different way of understanding things. Some students understand the concepts when explained through analogies, others when shown mathematical foundation behind them. I modify my teaching methodology depending on what the student is comfortable with.
I passionately believe in students achieving their potential and enjoy the role of personal tutoring to further aid students learning. I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Business and Economics (2:1) and have worked for a number of large organisations offering a variety of depth and experience. Online tutoring is about helping students form around the world to access education via the platform of the internet, to help them succeed at their studies. Firstly, I like to make an initial meeting to understand the needs and objectives of the personal tutoring before developing a detailed plan of the outline of personal tutoring support. I am keen to ensure that both parents and students alike are happy with the service and will accommodate additional requests. I like to ensure that the learner is both enthused and engaged in the tutoring sessions and have a range of resources and assessment techniques.

I have worked in the commercial business world and gained experience before moving into my passion for teaching. I want to concentrate on turning students I Can't statements into I Can, I believe that everyone has the potential to achieve they just need the correct guidance and that all important Mindset. Each student is different and gains the knowledge and understanding in different ways, as a tutor it is my job to find that way and release that potential.
My approach to teaching is to find the right method for the student. I believe each student has their own style of learning and we need to harness that style in order to succeed. I discuss the needs of the student and then assess the ability through a test. From the results I create a individual learning plan, using this plan we work together to find the best learning style ( practical, theory based, written, spoken, mix of styles) to turn the student from a knowledge and understanding into a expert and evaluator. I aim to have my students having a positive growth mindset and leave saying I Can do that!

Konstantinos's last completed Economics and Business job with Damilola: Over 2 hrs/week - I am working towards my final year in university and I would like to achieve the highest marks possible.
I was a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Economics department at the School of Business and Economics in Loughborough University, supporting undergraduate-level first-year modules namely Principles of Macroeconomics and Quantitative Economics.
The modules I support are mainly classroom-based tutorials, with 20 students per class, and generally focused around problem-based question sets.
Some details of my previous experience:
Tutor for Principles of Macroeconomics (Academic year 2016/17). Responsible for teaching six tutorial groups of around 20 students per group. Total teaching load of 40 hours.
Tutor for Principles of Macroeconomics and Quantitative Economics (Academic Year 2017/18). Responsible for teaching ten tutorial groups of around 20 students per group. Total teaching load of 80 hours.
I have been teaching A level Business and Economics for the past 19 years. I worked at a boarding school with some overseas students, so I have worked a lot with pupils who speak English as a second language. There was also a wide ability range, so I supported the most able students to apply to read Economics at Oxbridge, whilst also helping other students with less ambitious objectives. It has always been my belief that all students deserve the opportunity to fulfil their potential. I have been an A level examiner for AQA Business and Economics in the past.
We all learn at our best when we feel supported as well as challenged. I understand how examiners award marks and I enjoy showing students how they can use their subject knowledge to best advantage to acquire the available marks. Modern technology has revolutionised online tutoring and my tuition sessions are very interactive and show that learning can be fun!
I have been tutoring Economics at my university since the start of 2017. As my students come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, I have learned to explain concepts in multiple ways, to help each student understand the concepts in a way that makes sense and is relevant to them. In 2019, I was promoted to Head Tutor for Economics at my university.
I also have experience marking university-level economics tests and assignments and can assist students in refining their answering techniques, as well as with the examined content.
