He and I are working together on two parallel tracks at the same time: on the one hand, he needs to make sure that I understand the material perfectly. On the other hand, he is giving me tips and guidance on how to teach this material to my students. We spoke today about the nature of market failure. Our example was education, based on a past paper question. We used the structure of an exam question as a starting point - ensuring that the students will be well prepared to provide sufficient Knowledge, Analysis and Application to the answer, as well as then understanding what critical thinking is required to score good marks on Evaluation. I really enjoyed the lesson, it taught me a lot and it has given me a great basis upon which to teach my upcoming A-Level lessons on the topic of Market Failure and Government Intervention. | ||
